Andrey Yakhnyuk (Dancer)
Born in 1982. In 1999, he graduated from the Moscow Ballet Academy. In 1999-2007, he was a principal dancer with the Tachkin Ballet Theatre. In 2007, joined the Mikhailovsky Ballet Company, where he performed the roles of Prince Siegfried (Swan Lake), Solor (La Bayadère), Prince Desire (The Sleeping Beauty, rev. by Nikolay Boyarchikov), Nutcracker-Prince (The Nutcracker, rev. by Nikolay Boyarchikov), Romeo (Romeo and Juliet, chor. by Oleg Vinogradov), Shepherds (Spartacus, chor. by George Kovtun), as well as roles in Grand Pas from Paquita and In a Minor Key (chor. by Slava Samodurov). Now his repertoire includes roles in the new versions of the ballets Swan Lake, La Bayadère, Giselle, ou Les Wilis, ballets The Flames of Paris, Cipollino, Romeo and Juliet, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Multiplicity. Forms of Silence and Emptiness, Class Concert, as well as one-act ballets by Nacho Duato.
