Born in Kiev. Graduated with distinction from the Kiev State Choreography School in 1996 and was engaged as a soloist at the Kiev National Shevchenko Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Her repertoire there included Myrtha (Giselle), Aurora, the Lilac Fairy (The Sleeping Beauty), solo and variations from Paquita, Juliet (Romeo and Juliet in Serge Lifar?s staging) and the Queen of the Dryads (Don Quixote).
Joined Mariinsky Theatre in 2002
Won first prize at the Serge Lifar International Ballet Competition (1999).
Repertoire includes:
Swan Lake (Two swans/ The Prince?s Friends), Don Quixote (Street Dancer, Flower-girl, Queen of the Dryads and variation from Act IV), Raymonda ("Dream" – variations from first act), Fokine?s Chopiniana (Nokturne), Balanchine?s Apollo (Calliope), Le Corsaire (the Odalisque), The Nutcracker (Masha), La Sylphide (Sylphide), Forsythe?s The vertiginous thrill of exactitude.
