Ekaterina Fenina (Soprano)
Ekaterina Fenina graduated from the St Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 2015 and the same year became an assistant at the Conservatoire. The same year, she graduated from the Historical Faculty of the St Petersburg State University. She was a trainee of Franco Pagliazzi and underwent master-classes by Neil Shicoff and Igor Gavrilov. In 2012–2015, she was a soloist with the Conservatoire Theatre and performed Carolina (Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto), Violetta (Verdi’s La traviata), and Marfa (Rimsky-Korsakov’s Tsar’s Bride). Her repertoire also includes parts of the Queen of the Night and Papagena (Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte), Gilda (Verdi’s Rigoletto) and Norina (Donizetti’s Don Pasquale). Ekaterina Fenina has a wide concert répertoire and when a student, she would participate in a number of international opera festivals. In 2013, she took part in the Three Centuries of Russian Romance Festival Gala and in the Midnight Opera Project in St Petersburg. She participated in the Rubinstein Chamber Music Festival in Tsarskoye Selo.
Since 2015, Ekaterina Fenina has been a trainee with the Mikhailovsky Opera. At the Mikhailovsky Theatre, she performs soprano parts in the operas by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and Boris Asafiev.
