Conservatory (class of pr. M. OREKHOV and M. KUKUSHKIN) and in CNSM de Lyon (modern ensemble's conducting by G. AMY). Alumni of CNSMD de Paris (class of JANOS FURST). Master classes with J. PANULA, J. NELSON, D. ROBERTSON, Z. NAGY.
Since 2002, Music director and conductor of the Choeur et Orchestre des
Grandes Ecoles de Paris. Since 1997, conductor of the Ensemble de Saxophones du CNSMD de Paris, in the repertoire: modern music (some premiers) and the transcriptions of classical composers. He was founder and conductor of "New Music Group (St.Petersburg)(between 1994 and 1996), and made a number of first performances of modern Russian and foreign composers.
As a composer Vsevolod POLONSKY is the winner of six international
competitions (as Concours H. Dutilleux in 1999 or Molinari Quartet Competition in 2002), his music is played in the prestigious concert halls
(Concertgebouw) during different music festivals (Aix-en-Provence, Gaudeamus Music Week, Musique en Scиne а Lyon).
Orchestrator and conductor of the orchestral suite of P. Deceuninck
inspired by "The Lord of the Rings" of J.R.R. Tolkien. The CD with the suite
played by Saint-Petersburg Academic State Symphony Orchestra is already
commercialized. His orchestrations were played by Orchestre National
d'Lile de France, Orchestre National de Chambre de Toulouse, Ensemble Orchestral de Basse-Normandie etc.
As the guest conductor he is invited by Saint-Petersburg Academic State Symphony Orchestra, Yaroslavl Symphonic Orchestra, Crimea National Orchestra, Ensemble Inter-Instrumental de Chвteauroux, Ateliй du XX siecle of CNSM de Lyon etc.
