Jacques Hostettler and Nicolas Suter studied percussion instruments under Stéphane Borel and founded the Tchiki duo in 2006.
Since 2007 the duo has enjoyed the support and advice of Keiko Abe, Nebojša Živković and Peter Prommel, all of whom recognise the outstanding musical and artistic potential of the Tchiki duo. Starting in 2008 Tchiki duo has performed in Europe and Japan, mainly as a marimba duo but also as soloists with orchestra, chamber orchestra and marimba ensemble.
Their performances are marked by the notable emotions, originality and virtuosity, drawing from an eclectic repertoire which features their own works along with those of the great maestri.
