Anton Puzanov graduated from the Nizhny Novgorod State Glinka Conservatoire in 2004. He worked with the Nizhny Novgorod State Opera and Ballet Pushkin Theatre.
In 2004, he joined the Mikhailovsky Opera. At the Theatre, he performed Zaretsky and Officer in Eugene Onegin by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Varlaam and Nikitich in Boris Godunov by Modest Mussorgsky, Saltan and the Third Sailor in The Tale of Tsar Saltan and Malyuta Skuratov in The Tsar’s Bride by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov, Peter the Great in Peter the Great by Andrey Petrov, Rohnsdorff in Silvaby Imre Kalman (productions by Stanislav Gaudasinsky), Сustoms Sergeant in Puccini’s La Bohème (production by Arnaud Bernard), Benoît, Alcindoro, Sergeant, Сustoms officer in the production of La Bohème staged by Robert Carsen the First Mate in the Russian première of Britten’s Billy Budd, directed by Willy Decker, and Zaretsky and Officer in Eugene Onegin directed by Vasily Barkhatov. He took part in the concert performance of Bizet’s Carmen (Zuniga) under the baton of Vasily Petrenko, Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Masetto) under the baton of Mikhail Tatarnikov, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Snow Maiden (Second Herald) under the baton of Dmitri Jurowski.
Nowadays, at the Mikhailovsky Theatre Anton Puzanov performs bass parts in the opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Jacques-François-Fromental-Élie Halévy, Ruggero Leoncavallo, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and Boris Asafiev.
