The first international festival of popular brass music, held last season at the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall, proved a tremendous success. The Brass Evenings at the Mariinsky brought together the finest brass instrument performers from renowned orchestras in Moscow, St Petersburg and Vienna.
The Mariinsky Theatre plans to continue this project by running the second brass evenings festival, the programme including new arrangements of familiar works to be performed by the worldґs finest musicians
